I have always been the person with a camera in hand. I'm certain this is because my mother would often hand me her Canon camera at family events and ask me to take photos for her. I didn't know much back then, I just took photos I thought she would like. As a senior in high school, I was able to take a film photography class and learn about the art of photography--this is where my love of the craft began. I enjoy taking photos of random objects to make them interesting, landscapes and of course, my own children became my long-time favorite subjects once I became a mother. I enjoy the variety of clients and session types I have and am always trying to improve my skills.

For 17 years, I have been working in the photography business. First, as an apprentice and assistant to several well-known Kansas City photographers---a time I will always be thankful for because I was able to learn directly from veterans in the industry, not only about the art of photography but the business of it as well. My first studio was on the main level of an 1890s Victorian home in my home town of Mound City, Kansas. In the spring of 2020, I opened up my current commercial space in Lincoln, Missouri. I specialize in senior, family and wedding photography and offer a variety of design and some video services for local businesses and customers with design needs. 

I have made my home in Lincoln, Missouri--a quaint little town on Highway 65. This community has really supported my little business endeavor as I have grown the past few years. I have a large client base that ranges from my home town of Mound City, Kansas to the Kansas City area to Central Missouri. In nearly 20 years of being in business I have been honored to be a part of some of the most intimate moments in my clients' lives. I love that I can photograph couples getting married who then bring their children to me to photograph for years to come. The relationships I build with my clients become friendships and I could not be more blessed by those who support my dreams in this business.
